This cabin has a full kitchen with gas stove, queen bed in a private room and one bunk room with 4 twin bunks! Great for the kiddos and guests who stop by! There is also a room with a sink, that could be converted to a bathroom, but is currently used for storage. This cabin is heated with the wood stove, though the door is cracked, there is a new stove door on site ready to replace it! The sellers also used portable electric heaters to supplement on cold summer nights! Cabin 2 is accessed off the deck of Cabin 1 and has a double bed right in the main area (could be replaced with a dining/living area) with wall to wall windows in the prow front facing Kachemak Bay! This room has two bunk rooms (Bunk Room 1 & 2) with 4 sleeping twin bunks! So, as it is right now, 6 folks can sleep in this part of Cabin 2. There exists a kitchenette, with sink, fridge, two burner electric stove and counter for prepping food. To the right of this main room on Cabin 2 is another bunk room (Bunk Room 3) that has a queen bed and dresser with a window to Kasitsna Bay! This room is sheet rocked, but needs to be finished. Just a bit of selective tree limbing outside the back window and there'd be a glorious morning view of the bay! To the right of Bunk Room 3 there's a stairwell that takes you up to Bunk Room 4 - the biggest room on the property with windows showcasing the most beautiful views of Kachemak Bay! This bunk room has a queen bed and a futon sofa, easily sleeping 4! There is also a table and 2 chairs to enjoy your glass of wine with the most beautiful views of the mountains (Illiamna & Redoubt)as you watch the sun set over Kachemak Bay! This bright and sunny space is very appealing and you are drawn to taking a seat in the rocking chair to watch the waves on the beach! Very tranquil! Going around the front of Cabin 2 to the left is Bunk Room 5 - which has views of Kachemak Bay and a window to Kasitsna Bay too! A queen bed and rocking chair make this the 5th private bunk room in Cabin 2! All in all, Cabin 2 has 5 bunk rooms, and beds for up to 14 people! Wow! The nice part of this, is each family member could easily claim their own room that is always ready for their arrival! The property is served by a water source that runs from a creek on the mainland, under Kasitsna Bay and leads to each cabin along the Spit. Every property owner has their own shut off valve and water only runs in the summer months. This property has holding tanks and so there is water available at the sink in the cabin. There are no bathrooms in either cabin, though there is a flushing toilet (no toilet paper please) in the Privy! There is an old fashioned outhouse has not been used for years that could be brought back into use. There is also an outdoor "shower booth" that is not finished, but is ready to be plumbed. On the Kasitsna side of the bay, is a very large deck/dock that is in need of some repair, as it is weathered. A big shed that houses two 4 wheelers and life jackets, beach stuff! There is also another shed, that is storage on one side and an outhouse on the other. The property is also being sold with an aluminum skiff! Both sides of the property have beach walls that protect the tides from coming up onto the land and help with erosion. One of the most amazing and beautiful things about the properties on MacDonald Spit, is that you can sit on the Kasitsna side of the property in the morning for a calm sunny cup of coffee, then in the afternoon, switch to the decks in front of the cabins for the stunning sunset over Kachemak Bay!
